Just a few more photos of my recent trip to Chicago. Other than playing tourist by visiting the pier and the architectural tour, we spent most of the weekend talking, eating and drinking. We visited the┬áRandolph Market, some great restaurants whose names I’ve forgotten and just took it easy walking around the city with our own personal tour guide.

I can’t wait to visit Chicago again, if only to try every restaurant and bar the city has to offer. I am starving just looking at the above food photos.

I had the pleasure of being a tourist in Chicago at the end of June while visiting some amazing friends. The long weekend was a good mix of catching up over a glass of wine or whiskey and sight seeing + going out to quaint restaurants and cafes. I have a few more photos to share from the trip which I will post next time. Most of the photos above are from the Architectural boat tour at the pier. I highly recommend it, very beautiful and educational.

Montreal loves any excuse to shut down a street and we Montrealers love walking down the middle of the street without getting hit by a car (though we already jaywalk any chance we get). Two weekends in a row most of the St Laurent Boulevard – aka the Main – was closed for the sidewalk sale and we got to soak in the sun while spending money and eating street food & mango on a stick. Summer in Montreal just can’t be beat.

A couple of weeks ago, I took a walk down to the Atwater Market and snapped a few photos. It’s no Jean Talon market but it’s walking distance from my apartment so that gives it some brownie points.

8:00 pm is such a magical time of day when you are walking down St Catherine street on a sunny evening. Especially when Starbucks is handing out free samples.
